Desperate Planters

=People who live in the far, far north, where the kee kee birds cry, who need a garden fix so badly that they plant weird stuff in January and February just to be growing SOMETHING.

I fall under that definition so I have planted some aloe seeds this week...more sunrise cacti, despite the ridiculously slow rate of growth and today some lemongrass.

The indoor lettuce is thriving, but it will be quite a while before it is time to plant tomatoes and peppers. Gold finches are just beginning to be tinged with just the least little bit of yellow. I await spring with profound impatience.

Matty, I am sick of being cold. It was so damp and chill and miserable yesterday that as soon as I sat down in a chair with a blanket I went right to sleep despite getting a good night the night before....brrrrrr......love you muchly!
