April 15, 1874

From the diary of Charles Thurwood, farmer, Fort Plain, NY

Pleasant and warm and the snow was all gone away and I sharpened hop poles and Barny Borts boy was here for cabbage. Abel and father boilt sap all day and in the afternoon it was showery and it rained and was south wind and I sharpened some hop poles.
