I ate this baby zucchini this morning.
The plant is on the porch in a pot...I passed it several times a day for weeks.
Finally I just couldn't resist. It was worth waiting for.
The boss bought me a plant and we put it in today. Lovely, bright red stalks and dark, dark green leaves. I am growing it in a flower bed, along with some I put in a couple of years ago. It is close to the house, easy to care for, very decorative and right handy to horse manure, which it loves.
We will see if it tastes as good as it looks.
